Projects we've poured our hearts into over the years. Each one taught us something new about working with Canada's climate and the people who live here.
Whistler Mountain Residence
Built this one back in 2023 - had to deal with some crazy snow loads but the geothermal heating keeps it cozy all winter. Triple-pane windows throughout.

Granville Tech Hub
Downtown Vancouver project that gave us some headaches with permits but turned out amazing. Solar panels on the roof generate about 40% of the building's needs. The courtyard's become a lunch spot for the whole block.
CommercialSustainable
Gastown Heritage Restoration
1887 warehouse that was falling apart. Spent months sourcing matching bricks and working with heritage committees. Now it's mixed-use with shops below and lofts up top.
Heritage
Bowen Island Retreat
Off-grid weekend place that runs entirely on solar and rainwater collection. Client wanted minimal footprint so we kept it small but made every inch count. The sauna's my favorite part.
ResidentialSustainable
Nordic Bistro Kitsilano
Restaurant build-out that let us play with natural materials - reclaimed Douglas fir, local stone, tons of natural light. Kitchen layout was tricky in the existing space but chef's happy with the flow.
Commercial
False Creek Waterfront Development
Master planning project we consulted on for three years. Focused on walkability, green corridors, and making sure new density didn't kill the neighborhood vibe. Still ongoing but the first phase opened last spring.
Urban PlanningSustainable
Main Street Townhomes
Six-unit infill that replaced an old car dealership. Tight lot meant we had to get creative with private outdoor space - rooftop terraces solved that. Each unit's got its own personality.
Residential
North Shore Community Center
LEED Gold certified - rainwater harvesting, radiant floor heating, the works. Designed it so seniors and kids can use the same spaces throughout the day. Big windows facing the mountains don't hurt either.
CommercialSustainable
Passive House Burnaby
Our first certified Passive House and honestly, kinda obsessed with the energy numbers now. Heating bills are like $200 for the whole year. Air quality's incredible too with the HRV system.
ResidentialSustainable
Mount Pleasant Church Conversion
1920s church turned co-working space. Kept the original stained glass and timber trusses - they're the stars. Added mezzanines for meeting rooms without touching the main volume. Acoustics were surprisingly good already.

Surrey City Center Master Plan
Five-year planning project that's reshaping how this part of Metro Van grows. Mixed-use, transit-oriented, with green space woven through everything. It's one thing to draw pretty plans - seeing it actually get built is something else entirely.
Urban Planning
Kitsilano Laneway House
Tiny but mighty - 650 sq ft that lives way bigger. Clients wanted rental income and a place for aging parents eventually. High ceilings and big sliding doors make it feel open. Built it in like four months.
Residential
Net-Zero Office Renovation
Taking an old 1970s office block and making it actually efficient was a puzzle. New envelope, heat pumps, solar array. The energy modeling took forever but we hit net-zero after the first year of operation.
